Snoopy Island
Awful dive. Shore dive from Sandy beach (public part) to Snoopy Island. Went out just before high tide, very strong inward currents, and not enough weights (had 10lbs but wanted 12) coupled with shallow depth (avg of 4m) made it difficult to control buoyancy and stay down. Deployed DSMB before descent due to boat traffic and low depths, but with the current it acted as a parachute and made it even more difficult to swim. Ended up returning to surface and putting it away mid dive. Altogether very difficult to get out to Snoopy. By the time we got there we were low on air and struggled even more with buoyancy. Ended up calling it there and surface swimming back to shore, again very difficult with the currents + waves/surge.
