Dive-site story
Located along the Kurnell peninsula within Kamay Botany Bay National Park, The Steps is one of Sydney's premier shore dives. Divers step off the sandstone platform into kelp-covered boulders that gradually transition to sand flats. The site is widely celebrated for its resident population of weedy seadragons, which forage along the reef edge where the kelp gives way to open sand.
