Dive-site story
Located along the eastern shore of Lake Lucerne near the village of Greppen, Holzlager is a typical Swiss lake shore dive named after the nearby historical timber storage area. Divers enter from the gravel shoreline and descend across a sloping bank covered in silt, gravel, and submerged tree trunks. As depth increases, the slope drops toward deeper water where cold-water species seek shelter around scattered driftwood structures.
Submerged timber debris and logs that provide shelter for lake fish
Steeply dropping silty slope ideal for buoyancy practice and deep lake navigation
