Dive-site story
Kreidesee in Hemmoor is a flooded former chalk quarry renowned throughout northern Europe for its clear, cold water and extensive submerged industrial infrastructure. Divers enter via shore ramps or stairs to explore underwater relicts ranging from concrete chutes and forest sections to intentionally scuttled planes, vehicles, and boats. Due to the rapid drop-offs and persistent deep cold, strict buoyancy control and cold-water gear are standard requirements.
