Dive-site story
Located along the shoreline of a former open-cast lignite mine in the Upper Palatinate Lake District, this popular lake entry is known for its sunken attractions and gentle slope. Divers follow submerged guidance lines from the entry point down toward training platforms, underwater trees, and small wrecks. Due to the mineral composition of the lake bed, water clarity often exceeds typical regional lakes, though sharp thermoclines develop during warmer months.
Submerged training platforms connected by fixed navigational guide ropes
Preserved remnants of drowned trees and sunken recreational objects
Easy shore access equipped with steps and an adjacent staging area
