Dive-site story
Located on the northern flank of the promontory leading into Marsa Bareika within Ras Mohammed National Park, this dive features a sheer vertical drop-off punctuated by deep fissures, overhangs, and sweeping coral-encrusted chimneys. Divers typically drift along the wall with the current, starting around the southern headland and following the topography into the protected bay. Large gorgonian fan corals line the face of the drop-off, sheltering glassfish and juvenile reef fish, while the blue open water provides constant opportunities for pelagic sightings.
Extensive vertical wall draped in sea fans, soft corals, and black coral bushes
Deep crevices and chimneys packed with sweepers and glassy sweepers
Frequent pelagic action in the open blue including jacks, barracudas, and occasional reef sharks
Scenic transition from exposed drop-off into the calmer coral gardens of Marsa Bareika
