Dive-site story
Thomas Reef is the smallest of the four offshore reefs in the Straits of Tiran, renowned for its dramatic drop-offs and a deep underwater canyon. Strong currents sweep along vertical walls covered in dense gorgonian fan forests and colorful soft corals. Divers typically drift along the eastern or western flanks, scanning the blue for pelagic predators like jacks, barracuda, and passing reef sharks.
Steep vertical walls encrusted with large gorgonian sea fans and alcyonarian soft corals
Deep canyon on the southern plateau with natural swim-through arches
High probability of seeing schooling trevally, tuna, and reef sharks patrolling the current
