Dive-site story
Tobia Arbaa, often referred to as the Seven Pillars, is a distinctive reef system situated in the bay off Safaga. Multiple coral towers rise vertically from a shallow sandy plateau toward the surface, creating an intricate playground of swim-throughs, overhangs, and coral bommies. Divers can weave between the pillars, observing how each column supports its own micro-ecosystem.
Series of vertical coral pinnacles rising from a flat sand bed
Dense shoals of glassfish congregating in the crevices and overhangs
Excellent macro photography opportunities around the pillar bases
Frequent encounters with resting rays on the surrounding seabed
