Dive-site story
Situated along the rugged cliffs of the Cabo Tiñoso area near Cartagena and La Azohía, El Arco is named for a prominent underwater rock arch formation. Divers navigate around large boulders, swim through natural stone cutouts, and explore rocky drop-offs covered in Mediterranean encrusting sponges and algae. The surrounding seabed transitions between rocky shelves, sandy patches, and Posidonia oceanica seagrass meadows that shelter juvenile fish and macro life.
