Dive-site story
Located along the southern coastline of Tenerife near the cliffs of Palm-Mar, this site is named after the massive aggregations of bastard grunts that hover stationary over the volcanic shelf. Basalt ledges, overhangs, and sandy channels define the underwater terrain. Rays often rest in the soft sediment, while pelagic species cruise the deeper edge where the reef drops off toward open water.
Massive, dense shoals of bastard grunts drifting over the rocky platforms
Frequent sightings of common stingrays and round stingrays settled in the sand
Volcanic overhangs and crevices harboring moray eels and macro critters
