Dive-site story
Located off the rugged volcanic coastline of northeastern Lanzarote near Charco del Palo, The Elevator is a dramatic geological dive centered around a vertical volcanic shaft. Divers drop through the dark basalt chimney that cuts straight down through the reef plateau before opening into the deep blue ocean. The base of the shaft leads toward caverns and deep ledges adorned with orange gorgonians and black coral bushes, frequented by large Atlantic marine life.
