Dive-site story
Gildenburgh Water is an established inland dive centre situated in a former clay quarry near Whittlesey. The lake floor features multiple training platforms, submerged vehicles, buses, boats, and purpose-sunk aircraft sections linked by guide lines. Silt accumulates easily along the ledges, though divers frequently encounter sizable coarse fish near the weed beds and deeper structures.
Extensive underwater trail featuring submerged coaches, airplanes, and sunken boats
Purpose-built training platforms positioned across stepped quarry depths
Resident freshwater fish including large pike, roach, and sturgeon
