Dive-site story
Situated along the limestone coast south of Cala Gonone in the Gulf of Orosei, Acqua Dolce takes its name from submarine freshwater karst springs emerging directly through the seabed. As fresh groundwater wells up into the sea, divers encounter dramatic haloclines that bend light and create visible shimmering layers alongside sudden temperature drops. The dive follows a limestone slope scattered with boulders, fissures, and patches of Neptune grass.
