Dive-site story
Isola Gallinara sits roughly one nautical mile off the Ligurian coast between Albenga and Alassio, functioning as a protected marine reserve characterized by rugged limestone drop-offs, underwater arches, and rich benthic cover. Several distinct dive spots surround the islet, including the submerged bronze statue of Christ off Punta Falconara and the steep walls of Punta Sciusciau. The substrate transitions from shallow posidonia meadows into steep rocky faces covered in yellow encrusting anemones and seafans.
