Dive-site story
Located along the rugged Romito coastline south of Livorno, Ponte di Calafuria is one of Tuscany's most frequented shore entries. The site features a stepped sandstone reef that gives way to dramatic drop-offs, large fallen boulders, and rocky crevices colonized by coralligenous life. Divers typically start by stepping in from the rocky slabs beneath the coastal bridge and heading westward, exploring shallow overhangs before descending toward the base of the reef where sea fans and rocky fissures harbor typical Mediterranean fauna.
