Dive-site story
Located off the coast of Spargi Island in the Maddalena Archipelago National Park, this granite shoal features sculpted Mediterranean rock formations. Giant boulders, gullies, and overhangs create shelter for resident fauna against the prevailing currents that sweep through the Strait of Bonifacio. Divers descend along rounded granite pinnacles decorated with yellow cluster anemones and red sea fans where the reef drops toward deeper sandy beds.
Dramatic granite monoliths and cavernous swim-throughs
Dense clusters of red gorgonians on deeper vertical drop-offs
Frequent encounters with territorial groupers resting in bedrock crevices
