Dive-site story
HMS Hellespont was a steam paddle tug built for the Royal Navy in 1910 and deployed to Malta's Grand Harbour, where she was bombed by Axis aircraft in April 1942. After the air raid she was towed out and scuttled off the coast, settling upright on a flat seabed. The bow was shattered by the explosion, but her engine assembly, boilers, and twin paddle wheels remain visible and structurally recognizable.
