Dive-site story
HMS Trusty Star was an armed steam drifter requisitioned by the Royal Navy for minesweeping duties around the Maltese Islands during the Siege of Malta. After surviving an initial mine blast and repair, the vessel struck another mine and sank just outside Grand Harbour. The wreck sits upright and largely intact on a seabed of coarse sand and silt, featuring its original bow structure, winch gear, and boiler assembly, preserved in deep, quiet water.
