Dive-site story
Named after Australian underwater photographer Kevin Deacon, this classic Milne Bay site sits along the sheltered northern coast of the peninsula. The reef starts right below the surface with dense fields of staghorn and plate corals before dropping into a dramatic slope cut by gullies and overhangs. Giant sea fans and sponges coat the deeper limestone walls, providing shelter for macro oddities and schooling reef fish.
Vast expanses of intact hard coral gardens in the shallows
Large seafans harboring pygmy seahorses along the deeper drop-off
Overhangs and crevices filled with sweepers and soft corals
