Dive-site story
Sunken Island is a submerged seamount rising from deep water in the Tañon Strait off Moalboal. Because the plateau crests relatively deep beneath the surface, it serves as a cleaning station and staging area for pelagics that ride the offshore currents. Divers execute a fast negative descent straight to the plateau top, which is covered in sea fans, sponges, and schooling reef fish.
