Dive-site story
Located directly off the southern coastline of Panglao Island, the Tawala Marine Protected Area encompasses a thriving reef system along Alona Beach. Divers descend over a shallow coral flat that breaks into a sloping wall punctuated by crevices, soft coral colonies, and large gorgonian fans. The sanctuary status has encouraged healthy coral regeneration, making it a reliable spot for macro photography as well as casual drift dives.
