Dive-site story
Resting off the coast of Aguadilla near the historic Ramey Air Force Base area, this downed World War II-era Boeing B-29 Superfortress sits broken across a sandy seabed. Aircraft wreckage is scattered across the bottom, with recognizable sections including engine blocks, twisted fuselage framework, and wing structures now colonized by sponges and gorgonians. Due to exposure to Atlantic swells and substantial operating depths, this site requires solid buoyancy control and gas management.
Substantial structural components of a historic military aircraft, including radial engine blocks and wing assemblies
Frequent flybys from large pelagic fish and passing sea turtles
Heavy colonization of artificial structure by branching corals and encrusting sponges
