Dive-site story
Koh Tachai sits in the northern reaches of the Andaman marine park system, celebrated primarily for its offshore granite plateau known as Tachai Pinnacle. Submerged dome-shaped boulders create an undulating underwater landscape draped in seafans and hard coral formations. Because the pinnacle sits exposed to open sea, currents can be fierce, funneling nutrient-rich water that attracts large pelagic species and dense schools of hunting predators.
