Dive-site story
Hin Lak Bet, commonly referred to as Shark Fin Rock, is a granite pinnacle rising from the seabed south of the Samae San archipelago. Below the surface, steep boulder formations drop off into sandy plains, supporting dense patches of sea anemones, gorgonian sea fans, and soft coral gardens. Given its exposed offshore position in the Gulf of Thailand, oceanic currents regularly sweep around the rock, attracting schooling pelagics while providing habitat for macro critters in rock crevices.
