Dive-site story
The MV Maverick was a former inter-island car ferry connecting Trinidad and Tobago before being intentionally scuttled off Mount Irvine in 1997. Resting upright on a flat sandy seabed, the intact steel hull has transformed into a mature artificial reef blanketed with sponges and hard corals. Divers can navigate the open vehicle deck, explore the wheelhouse, and circle the exterior structures while schools of pelagic fish patrol mid-water.
