Dive-site story
Located near the cooling water discharge channel of the third nuclear power plant in Kenting National Park, this coastal site is one of the most popular shore entries in southern Taiwan. Divers step in past concrete tetrapod breakwaters onto a gently sloping seabed composed of mixed hard coral patches, sea anemone colonies, and open sandy channels. The warm water flow from the outlet creates a localized micro-climate that supports diverse marine life, making it a reliable training ground and macro photography destination.
Extensive sea anemone gardens populated by multiple species of clownfish
Submerged concrete tetrapods encrusted with sponges, ascidians, and soft corals
Sheltered bay topography that often remains accessible when outer reefs experience heavy surge
