Dive-site story
Located along the sheltered inner boundary of Mnemba Atoll off Zanzibar's northeast coast, Wattabomi ranks among the region's most frequented dive locations. The seabed features a sweeping coral slope interspersed with limestone bommies and large patches of cabbage coral that grade into a white sand bottom. Divers often drift gently along the current while inspecting crevices for macro critters or watching green turtles graze on sea grass and sponges.
Frequent resting green turtles nestled along the sandy channels and coral plates
Expansive fields of hard cabbage corals hosting juvenile reef species
Colonies of garden eels swaying above the sandy floor at the bottom of the slope
