Dive-site story
The USCGC Bibb is a decommissioned Coast Guard cutter intentionally sunk as an artificial reef off Key Largo. Unlike her upright sister ship, the Duane, the Bibb rests entirely on her starboard side across the sand floor. Because of the exposed profile and open-ocean location, the hull regularly encounters sweeping Gulf Stream currents that attract large pelagic species.
Massive steel cutter hull resting horizontally on its side
Opportunity to see resident schools of amberjack and roaming bull sharks
Corridor swimming alongside heavy deck machinery, davits, and port-side railings
Deep blue offshore water with frequent visits from pelagic gamefish
