Dive-site story
Sunk intentionally off the coast of Lahaina to establish an artificial reef, the Carthaginian II is a historic two-masted brigantine sitting upright on an expanse of open sand. The former floating whaling museum now gathers localized marine life in a region otherwise dominated by bare substrate. Divers can explore the exterior deck fittings, open cargo hatches, and surrounding perimeter where pelagic species cruise alongside resident bottom-dwellers.
