Dive-site story
Set along the rocky granite bluffs of Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay, this state park is one of the most frequented shore diving locations in southern New England. Divers primarily access the water via the sheltered coves, descending across kelp-draped boulder fields, sandy patches, and rocky walls. Outside the protected coves, the bottom slopes toward the main shipping channel where currents pick up significantly.
