Dive-site story
Located off Haleiwa Beach Park on Oahu's North Shore, Haleiwa Trench is a distinct underwater canyon cutting through the surrounding basalt and coral reef flat. Divers follow the sandy bottom channel out towards deeper blue water, where rocky walls and undercut ledges provide shelter for resting animals. Summer brings calm conditions and easy navigation along the trench's defined perimeter.
