Dive-site story
Hammer Time lies off the volcanic islet of Moku Hooniki on the eastern end of Molokai. Exposed to open-ocean swells and strong tidal currents running through the Pailolo Channel, this offshore pinnacle is Hawaii's premier site for schooling scalloped hammerhead sharks. Divers drop into deep blue water and drift along submerged basalt ridges, keeping their eyes focused into the pelagic void where large predators congregate.
