Dive-site story
Located within the Pupukea Marine Life Conservation District on Oahu's North Shore, Sharks Cove is famed for its complex lava topography. The volcanic substrate forms a network of swim-throughs, caverns, arches, and ledges where light filters through overhead fissures. Because the site sits entirely exposed to North Shore ocean dynamics, diving is strictly viable during the calm summer period when Pacific winter swells subside.
Extensive underwater lava tubes and cavern swim-throughs
Abundant green sea turtles sheltering along volcanic ledges
Diverse marine sanctuary protected from fishing
