Dive-site story
Situated along the reef tract offshore from Fort Lauderdale, The Caves features dramatic undercut ledges and natural limestone overhangs. Strong tidal flow along the reef line has carved out deep recesses and small swim-throughs where marine animals seek refuge from current. Most charters run this site as a drift dive, allowing divers to coast along the top and base of the ledge structure.
