Dive-site story
Located directly offshore from Makaiwa Bay along the Kohala Coast, Turtle Mound centers around a distinct volcanic coral mound rising from a sandy bottom. The structure acts as an active cleaning station where Hawaiian green sea turtles gather alongside surgeonfish and butterflyfish. Healthy finger coral formations and lava rock undercuts extend outward from the central mound, creating shelter for nocturnal species and moray eels.
