Dive-site story
Situated along the western side of Great Dog Island, this site centers on a distinctive geological formation cut into volcanic rock. Divers descend onto coral-covered ridges before navigating through a natural archway and entering a narrow, vertical fissure that opens toward the surface. The swim-through is lined with encrusting sponges and cup corals that glow under a dive light, while adjacent sand channels harbor benthic species.
Narrow vertical rock chimney allowing single-file ascents through natural light beams
Wide coral-encrusted archway framing views of the surrounding reef
Sheltered overhangs populated by glassy sweepers and spiny lobsters
