Dive-site story
Carrot Shoal is an offshore seamount formation situated south of Peter Island. The site features a rocky ridge rising from the seabed, cut with ledges, undercut overhangs, and swim-through channels. Because it sits exposed in open water, water movement often brings in pelagic fish alongside resident reef creatures seeking shelter in the crevices.
Pelagic encounters in open water including schools of horse-eye jacks and roaming barracuda
Sprawling encrustations of gorgonians, sea whips, and hard corals along the plateau
Undercuts and ledges sheltering resting nurse sharks and spiny lobsters
