Dive-site story
Positioned along the eastern flank of the prehistoric Salt River submarine canyon off St. Croix's north shore, this site features a sheer vertical drop-off plunging straight into the ocean abyss. Divers descend over a shallow plateau encrusted with hard corals before drifting along the steep precipice, where deepwater gorgonians, wire corals, and large tube sponges jut out into the blue. Excellent open-water visibility allows for regular encounters with pelagic wanderers passing along the wall face.

Dense clusters of deepwater black coral trees and tube sponges
Frequent pelagic sightings out in the deep blue trench
