Dive-site story
Located off the northeast coast of Christiansted in St. Croix, Scotch Bank is an expansive shallow reef and sandbank system. The site features patch reefs, broad stretches of seagrass, and coral-covered slopes that gradually lead down toward the sandy channel floor. Because it sits exposed to open water, water movement often brings pelagics along the outer drop-off while macro life shelters in the hard coral heads.
Extensive patch reefs interspersed with sandy chutes and seagrass meadows
Frequent encounters with foraging sea turtles and resting stingrays
Gentle drift opportunities along the outer slope
