Dive-site story
The Brunswick rests on a sandy seabed in Simon's Bay within False Bay. An East Indiaman wrecked in the early nineteenth century, the wooden vessel has largely broken apart over the centuries, leaving iron cannons, ballast stones, and scattered structural timbers embedded in the sediment. The site sits in sheltered inshore waters, making it an easy historical dive when open-ocean conditions on the Atlantic side are rough.

Seasonality
Winter and early spring bring offshore northwesterly winds that flatten False Bay and improve inshore underwater visibility.
