Dive-site story
Situated along the eastern perimeter of False Bay, Rooi Els Point features granite ridges, deep gullies, and thick kelp forests. Rocky overhangs drop off onto sand patches where benthic sharks frequently rest. The site is well protected from prevailing southeasterly summer winds, which blow offshore here and flatten the sea surface while bringing clearer water.

Occasional encounters with broadnose sevengill sharks patrolling the outer reef edges
