Molasses Reef 2-Tank Boat Dive in Key Largo

Molasses Reef is one of the most popular dive sites in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, and it’s easy to see why. Shallow spur-and-groove coral formations rise from a sandy bottom, and the reef is full of life: schools of grunts and snapper, parrotfish, angelfish, and big barracuda and grouper. Sea turtles and rays often make an appearance. Depths are roughly 20 to 40 feet, so you get long bottom times and plenty of light. That makes it a great fit for newly certified divers and a relaxing, photogenic dive for experienced ones. What to expect A short briefing before the boat leaves, covering the dive plan, the site, and safety Two guided dives on the reef, with a surface interval on the boat between them A boat ride of about 35-40 minutes each way from Key Largo What’s included Tanks and weights Guide and boat fees Gear rental included Requirements Open Water certification or equivalent. Please bring your certification card. Divers should be comfortable in open water and in good health for diving. Minors must be accompanied by one adult diver. Good to know Trips run in weather and sea conditions that are safe for diving. If conditions don’t allow, we’ll reschedule or refund. Please arrive 90 minutes before departure. Bring a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, and a light layer for the ride back.
