Dive-site story
The Folias is a former fishing factory ship that caught fire and ran aground off Playa Paraná south of Puerto Madryn. Resting on a sandy substrate close to the coast, the broken steel hull is partially exposed during low tide and fully submerged in sections during high water. Corroded ribs, machinery decks, and iron plates form an artificial reef colonized by cold-water invertebrates and schooling fish native to Golfo Nuevo.
