Dive-site story
Lakawand is a classic Alpine lake wall dive situated on the shores of Weissensee in Carinthia. Divers follow a submerged rock face plunging into the darker depths of the glacial basin, flanked by submerged tree trunks and rock debris. Because of the altitude and cooler water profile beneath the summer thermocline, complete cold-water configuration is essential.

Submerged wood structures providing shelter for local predatory fish
High-altitude freshwater clarity often resembling drinking water quality
