Dive-site story
Neufelder See is a flooded former open-cast lignite mine situated in Burgenland, serving as a primary training and recreational lake for divers from nearby Vienna. The eastern shore features dedicated diver entry areas equipped with staging platforms, underwater navigation courses, sunken training objects, and gradually sloping silt beds. As you move away from the shallows, submerged trees and underwater vegetation provide habitat for native freshwater fish before dropping to the lake basin.
