Dive-site story
Big Seal Rock sits offshore from Sugarloaf Point along the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. The rocky outcrop drops into a labyrinth of deep gutters, boulder fields, and amphitheaters carved out by open ocean swells. It serves as an aggregation site for sand tiger sharks (locally known as grey nurse sharks) that cruise the sand-bottomed channels, alongside schooling pelagic fish and seasonal visitors like Australian fur seals.
