Dive-site story
Scuttled in the Great Sandy Marine Park between Hervey Bay and Bundaberg, the former Royal Australian Navy landing ship rests on its starboard side. The expansive superstructure and cavernous vehicle decks create multi-level routes suited to open water exploration as well as overhead penetration for trained wreck divers. Corals, hydroids, and sponges have rapidly colonized the hull plating, transforming the military vessel into a dense artificial reef system.
