Dive-site story
The former Royal Australian Navy guided-missile destroyer sits upright on a flat sandy sea floor off Mooloolaba. Purpose-scuttled in July 2005 as a dedicated conservation park and artificial reef, the warship has transformed into a thriving multi-level ecosystem. Large access holes cut through the hull permit safe exploration across engine rooms, the bridge, and weapon control stations.
