Dive-site story
Located on Flynn Reef off the coast of Cairns, Ski Slopes earns its name from angled sand chutes that drop between coral ridges like downhill ski runs. The terrain consists of hard coral bommies, extensive staghorn fields, and sprawling plate corals sloping into sandy flats. Whitetip reef sharks often rest in the white sand gullies during the day, while sea turtles graze along the shallower coral heads.
