Dive-site story
Situated along the outer edge of Hastings Reef off the coast of Cairns, Tennis Courts gets its name from flat sandy patches framed by rectangular coral bommies. Coral formations here rise toward the surface, creating sheltered corridors for both divers and snorkelers. Because the site sits on an offshore reef system, gentle to moderate currents flush nutrient-rich ocean water past dense stands of branching staghorn and plate corals.
